Feel good friday

 

 

Most of our activities on a Friday are hosted by the Time Well Spent Group.

 

Come and hang out with friends - (bring) old ones and (make) new ones! The pool table is available as are our board games. The café is open between 1 and 3 pm with free tea/coffee and food available for a donation.

Carer's Pop-in Cafe

This is an informal and relaxed space for all carers to enjoy a cuppa, a chat and laugh, meet new people, share experiences and information.

 

The Carer's Cafe is open every Friday

from 10.30 am - 12 pm. 

Chair Exercises for Adults 65+

Chair exercises are a safe and effective way for older adults to stay active, especially for those with limited mobility, balance issues, or joint concerns. These low-impact movements can improve strength, flexibility, circulation, and coordination—all from a seated position.

 

Common exercises include seated leg lifts, arm circles, toe taps, and gentle stretches. They can be done at home or in group settings and often require no special equipment. With regular practice, chair exercises can enhance daily functioning and promote overall well-being.

Yoker Minstrels

The Yoker Minstrels are a local music group who perform live music as part of Feel Good Fridays. They offering accessible and enjoyable sessions for local residents. Their performances are designed to promote social connection and well-being.

Singing Circle

Singing Circle is a welcoming community choir where everyone is invited to join—no auditions, no experience, and no need to “sing well.” If you enjoy singing for the joy of it, you’ll fit right in. It’s not about perfection, but about connection, community, and the simple pleasure of raising our voices together.
