Time Well Spent

Yokers Elderly Social Inclusion Group

Time Well Spent is a community based care and support service that aims to change and improve the quality of life for elderly and disabled people. Especially for those who are living alone in their own homes and wish to get out and meet people. Time Well Spent is based at Yoker Community Campus.

We provide a wide range of community activities including Arts & Crafts, social afternoons playing Bingo and day trips to places of interest and enjoyment. We also provide a trained physio therapist service to deliver chair exercises.

The project accepts self-referrals as well as from a variety of sources including social work services, G.P.’s, friend/family, doctor, district nurse, public and private sector day centres. We provide free escorted transport to the Project and back home.

If you are interested in joining the group or you know someone who would benefit from regular support and meetings with friends please contact us by phoning Kirsty Gibbons on 0141 952 1010.

Conversations with Myself

Please check out our book ‘Conversations with Myself’ which explores individual stories of struggle during the covid-19 pandemic which came out of our stories of isolation project. The book is available in the Community Library at the Campus.
